Physical Therapy Students and Faculty present at 2024 American Physical Therapy Association Conference
Several DPT class of 2024 student groups presented their work at the conference in Boston, Massachusetts.
Some of Utica University Department of Physical Therapy’s (DPT) students and faculty had the opportunity to present at the annual American Physical Therapy Association Conference this year.
Several DPT class of 2024 student groups presented their work at the conference in Boston, Massachusetts. The following presentations include:
- Veronica Vabishchevich, Ryan Smith, Jackson Sorbello, Unter Reed, Joe Battista, along with our adjunct professor Adam Bittel, 2013 – Systematic review & meta-analysis of "the effect of physical activity on epigenetic aging."
- Eric Noble, Rosie Fesko, Deanna Gulneck, Allie Sprauer, Korrin Gates, along with Professor Molly Hickey, presented a poster on their systematic review of the literature entitled, “Factors associated with differences in outcomes between male and female collegiate athletes following a sport-related concussion."
- Shayla McCarroll, Haily Collins, Jared Malagisi, Trissa Gatto, Anna Tommasone, along with our adjunct professor Adam Bittel, 2013 – Systematic review & meta-analysis of "one exercise session reprograms immune responses to future muscle damage."
- Jenna Prewasnicak, Olivia Marshall, Brian Costello, Ashley Guerra, Brock Blecha, Nicholas Davis, along with our adjunct professor Yasser Salem – Poster presentation on systematic review entitled; "Parkinson's Disease and Tai Chi Exercise."
Dr. Ashraf Elazzazi, Chair of Utica’s Physical Therapy Department, also gave a platform presentation at the conference and served as a co-investigator with Professor David Schilling and Professor Tim Abraham.
